Yummy jeruk.. unhealthy? yup, I know.. unhealthy things always the yummiest. These are the buah tangan Penang for siblings and makciks when I went home for raya haji. No, the kids are not allowed to have these.. unhealthy kann.. orang tua je boleh makan.
This handsome cow...
later turn to this...
and after that when everything turns to gulai aqiqah, sate and gulai nasi minyak, I forgot the camera and got myself busy tending to guests and me myself got busy eating :)

Non-smoking-healthy-cow-lung
Finally I managed to get my doses of lempung goreng (fried cow lung). Nyam nyam nyam. I know the uncooked and uncleaned one in the pic looks disgusting. Can use this pic for no smoking advert or not?

Held a birthday bash for siblings and anak buah born in January followed by photo session. Awang's face above showed how long it took for the photo session to end.
*********************************************One should not bone boiled fish while watching movies. You risk of killing people who eat your kuah laksa. Never pop the boiled fish flesh into your mouth while your eyes glued to the tube. I choked on a fish bone while doing that. The bone did stay somewhere in the throat for the next 24 hours or so. Tried so many things to let it pass, gulped water, swallow rice balls.. didn't work. Didn't realize when it did pass through either.
I hardly believe in petua.. (what do you call petua in English aaa?) I laughed out loud when I heard my sis' suggestion. She said I should ask a person who was born songsang to dip his/her finger in a glass of water. I should drink the water to clear the bone from my throat. She tried hard to remember which one of our anak buah who was born songsang. No I did not try that 'air celup jari' thingy. Buat lawak la kakak aku nih. Does that mean a person who was born songsang would never choke on fish bones or any bone at all?
Both Mok and Ayoh were sick when I arrived home, but they got better on the first raya when all their children gathered. Mok insist on making her best nasi minyak on second raya with her reason "kot-kot Ubi nak rasa nasi minyak, dah raya dulu tak balik" although I told her "tak payah buat". Mak never failed to pamper me when I'm home.
Ayoh insist on making his ‘rojak kateh’ although we already told him not to take back the kateh lembu (cow's legs), but Ayoh will be Ayoh. Like what he did every year, Ayoh patiently cleaned up the cow's kateh, cooked the joints, cartilages and ligaments till all became tender, and prepared his rojak kateh. The rojak was ready just in time before I left. Yummssss.

When one is confined to a small space in a moving bus, in the middle of the night, there’s nothing much one can do. The ‘reading lamp’ above me refused to light up no matter how many times I pushed on the switch. Then I discovered that the whole lightings were actually controlled by the driver. I was bored to death and I could not sleep. To turn on the laptop was not an option in the shaky bus, and I hardly had any space left between me and the front seat, the guy in front pushed the seat back very low, was lucky to be skinny, if I was 8 months pregnant, the front seat could have touched my tummy.
If I didn't want to see something on a bus, or if I refused to engage in a conversation , I could close my eyes and pretend to sleep, if I didn't want to hear something, I could turn my mp3 player at the loudest, but if I smell something not nice like the B.O of the person sitting next to me, there's not much I could do. Closing my nose with my hand or jacket obviously could offend that person. My mind was screaming 'FRESH AIR!!!'. Even sniffing on my perfume sprayed wrist didn't help.
My miserable 9 hours on an express bus ended at 6.30am this morning.
