meneropong masa silam yang telah terlewat

Eversince I turned 30, every 26th of the month scares me. What the hell is this thirty-ritis fever I'm having?

Hmmm... perhaps that's because I planned out too many things to achieve/do/have before I turn 30 (I planned it way back since I was 12! talk about planning wayyyyy ahead)... and I passed that 30 milestone already, and every weeks and months that passed after that just freaked me.

Downloaded a few Ebiet G.Ade's songs from the net. I'm old skool like dat (told my flatmates I'm listening to Ebiet, and the respond was "who's that?". Hmm... they're 80's kids!) . I don't know all his songs though, I could name only a handful and now I'm listening to unfamiliar ones.. Love 'em.. so soothing to my ears. I wanna put em here.. but I'm just clueless on how to do it (I only know how to put photos & vids from youtube!).

I love this one:

Tatkala Letih Menunggu- Ebiet G.Ade

Menunggu ada kalanya terasa mengasyikkan
Banyak waktu kita miliki untuk berfikir
Sendiri seringkali sangat kita perlukan
meneropong masa silam yang telah terlewat

Mungkin ada apa yang kita cari
masih tersembunyi di lipatan waktu yang tertinggal
Mungkin ada apa yang kita kejar
justru tak terjamah saat kita melintas

Menunggu lebih terasa beban yang membosankan
Banyak waktu kita terbuang tergilas cuaca
Sendiri seringkali sangat menyakitkan
Meneropong masa depan dari sisi yang gelap

Mungkin ada apa yang kita takuti
justru t'lah menghadang di lembaran hari-hari nanti
Mungkin ada apa yang kita benci
justru t'lah menerkam menembusi seluruh jiwa kita

Memang seharusnya kita tak membuang semangat masa silam
Bermain dalam dada
setelah usai mengantar kita tertatih-tatih sampai di sini

the good, the bad, the ugly... and (not) the good kind..

photosource: stuff.co.nz

The Good:
All Blacks won both Bledisloe & Tri-nation Rugby Cup last night in Auckland. Yeayyyyy!! ( but I did not get to watch the live telecast). The score was All Blacks 26-12 Wallabies, very nice number.

The Bad:
I had a superstressing week. .. err.. make that a fortnight. My wacko hormones during that time of the month made everything worse. I could be as happy as a lark at times and cry buckets in the next minute. Things just happened to know the right time to go wrong, workwise and lifewise. I was losing sleep, losing appetite, throwing up, had headache and diarrhea all at the same time. But there's a good outcome from that, I lost the kilos I gained in the past months! Yeayyyyyy! No dieting needed. *dig clothes pile to get old jeans*

The Ugly:
"Enjoy rugby in the capital of love" A Rugby World Cup advert that made me go EUWWWWW!!! so gay! This one must be computer generated and I think it is just hideous.
Note to Dani (as if he's reading!), I don't care if you wanna give killer poses in those Jockey undies advert, but don't ever be a model for such ad like this. Disgusting! (no yeay for this one)

***********************************

I did buang tebiat last night. I was feeling down as in SUPER LOW earlier this week and really needed to do something to steam off in a healthy way. So on Tuesday when M pleaded me (in C's words "with Shrek's Puss in boots look") to join her performing, I said yes... which freaked me later on. Despite the aching squeaking joints I get from the practices, it proved to be a great stress reliever. So while Dani was breaking his back fighting the Wallabies last night, I was on stage hoping that the floor would open up and swallow me .

just feel like singing....

'Do you wanna run away together?'
I would say it was your best line ever.
Too bad I fell for it...

Black Saturday

All Bl@cks won 33-6 against Springb0ks last night. That sounds like a good number but Springb0ks left their best 20 players at home. So it was the All Bl@cks against B-grade Springb0ks. Not very impressive as AB was struggling in the first half. I was also struggling for a view to watch the game. The guy in front of me was tall enough to block me when he was sitting, it got worse when he stood up at every 2-5 minutes intervals. Rasa nak cantas aje kepala dia. Some Jap@nese girls beside us were giggling and screaming every time D@n C@rter was in sight, hey.. you want to "ooooh... ahhhh" before and after the match, I can accept-lah, but don't do it during the match, annoying ok! Sangat mengganggu konsentrasi! The guys behind me were the worst of all, they were swearing out loud using almost every vulgarities known to kiwis right from the start until the end of the match. I wanted to feed them my shoes, really.

can I not feel?

I thought I've mastered the art of letting go
but no
I failed miserably
It hurts.

Can someone please shoot me?
I mean, literally.

..and it continues.. for how long? I don't know...

I had a very good sleep last night... after weeks of sleepless nights. Not that I do my work throughout the nights, it was just my mind refused to 'shut down' although my body really needed some rest. I woke up at every 1/2 - 1 hour intervals with thoughts that kept bugging me. That, made me cranky throughout the next day. Penat la kalau everyday gitu...

Dani, at the All Blacks meet the fan session. Sangat comel! *melting*

I'm not sure what drugged me to a very good sleep last night. It could be either that sweetest smile Dani gave me while signing my muffler yesterday or the Taste of Bengal korma that I ate for dinner (lamb korma was yummy... but Dani looks yummier! :P). All I know, by 9.30pm I was already in deep slumber on the couch, in the warmth of my living room (my bedroom is freezing cold!) until the Athan software on my laptop popped up and called out for the fajr prayer (selalunya nak abis subuh baru celik! itu pun kalau tak terbabas). Finally today, I woke up happy, not cranky!

******************************************

I was shocked when anon from NZ left a nasty comment on my blog last week. Don't go look for the comment, I permanently deleted it because it was too obscene, I cringed. The moron used XTRA with IP 210.54.112.251 and he/she wrote 'graphical' profanities. A bloggerfriend said that it sounded like Mat Rempit. Mat Rempit goes global you see! The comment had nothing to do with me or my posts, he/she wanted to badmouth another person that I only know the name, but never met. What the heck..? The choice of vulgarities made me believe that the moron is a Malay, and a very kurang ajar one. The words, if anyone use it in front of me, memang aku cili cilikan mulut tu. Kau ape hal? Kalau tak puas hati kat orang lain, jangan mencarut kat blog aku lah!

Finally I get the chance to try making Winter Warmer Fish Porridge I saw on May's blog. I used monkfish fillet. I'm not a fan of spring onions, so I had mine with pickled radish, sesame oil and soy sauce with lime juice & onion. Super simple, yet super yummehhh. Makan tak ingat dunia I tell you!

I know I have a few long overdue tags... May, Karina, Manal (err.. who else? raise your hand!)... will do 'em when I have the time. Tungguuuuuuuu...
