38

Turned 38 yesterday.
Mak gave birth to me when she was 38, her 8th child. I'm 38 and I have no kids.
Life is great and Allah has given me more than I deserved.
Let me say that again, I am now 38, single and LOVIN' IT!
I 've been telling myself that I have my mom's genes so I put her 'getting last child at 38' as my bench mark. If I want to get married and have kids, I would have to do it BEFORE I turn 38. After that date, I might as well plan on keeping all my savings for a good full service nursing home.

Aaaaaanyway, on my 38th birthday I had breakfast with friends from Lincoln and spent the rest of the day with friends from high school. Had a great time, we just talk and talk and talk! you don't need anything else when you can talk endlessly (and we did that a lot over food!).
Alhamdulillah for the lovely friends...

We stayed at Spices H0tel, a lovely boutique hotel on Lumut Lane in George Town and I received a birthday cake, on the house!

If you're looking for a place to stay in George Town, I highly recommend Spices H0tel (click here to read more on the hotel). If you appreciate design and architecture, this is an awesome restoration of pre-war shophouses.

Vanity

Out there, there are beautiful people.
Beautiful and attractive.
Being confident is beautiful... But when a person keeps posting selfies & photos of oneself on daily basis - that's not confidence, that's vanity.
Narcissism is not attractive. Neither is overexposure.

December

There is something about December. I always feel apprehensive at the start of December. It is the month where my age will change and this whole thing about not achieving what I want in life comes back to haunt me. At least for 11 months a year, I accept that there are things that I cannot change, and some things are just meant to be the way they are now, but not for December. Every December for the past 10 years, things just kill me.... and I am my worst critic.

Gloria

I am fat & happy.
Will try to shed some weight.
We'll see...
Eating is still my #1 pleasure. So how?
